Privacy Policy

This policy covers the game Game Box Arcade (package com.questbytes.GameBoxArcadekidsgames), published by Questbyte Labs ("the game", "we"). The short version: we do not collect, store on our servers, or sell any personal information. The game has no accounts, no analytics and no in-app purchases. It is free because it shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google collects some device information to deliver those ads (see Advertising below).
Information we collect
We collect nothing ourselves. The game never asks for your name, email, location, contacts, photos or any other personal information, and it contains no analytics, tracking or crash-reporting services of our own. The only data that leaves your device is what Google AdMob collects to show ads, described below.
Data stored on your device
To remember your progress, the game keeps a small amount of information on your device only:
- Scores and stars: your best score and stars for each mini game.
- Levels: which level you have reached in the puzzle games.
- Settings: whether sound and music are on.
This information is never sent anywhere. You can erase it at any time from Settings → Reset Progress, and uninstalling the game deletes it completely.
Advertising
The game shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner on the home screen, an occasional full-screen ad between rounds (never during play), and optional videos a player can choose to watch for a reward, such as extra time, a doubled score or skipping a puzzle level. Ads are limited to content rated suitable for teens and older. There are no in-app purchases.
To show ads, measure how they perform and prevent fraud, Google may collect and process information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and app details, and how you interact with ads (for example, whether an ad was shown or tapped). Google may use this information to show ads based on your interests (personalised ads). Google handles this information under its own policies: see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google privacy policy. We never receive or see this information.
Your choices
- Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland): if you play in these regions, the game asks for your consent through Google's consent message before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy Choices in the game.
- Advertising ID: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your Android settings under Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Google → Ads on some devices). You will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
- Stop all collection: uninstalling the game stops all data collection by the game and Google AdMob.
Permissions
The game uses the internet so Google AdMob can load ads, and includes the advertising ID permission that AdMob uses for ads. It does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, photos or files.
Children
Game Box Arcade is intended for players aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has used the game in a way that resulted in information being collected, please contact us and we will help you resolve it.
Third parties
The game is built with the Unity engine. No Unity services that collect data are enabled. The only third-party service included is Google AdMob for ads, including Google's User Messaging Platform for consent (see Advertising above). Downloads and updates are handled by Google Play under the Google privacy policy.
Data security and retention
Progress data stays on your device until you reset it or uninstall the game. Data collected by Google AdMob is transmitted over encrypted connections and kept according to Google's retention policies.
Changes
If the game's behaviour ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, this page will be updated and the effective date above revised.
