Privacy Policy

This policy covers the game Pool Elite 3D (package com.questbytes.poolelite), published by Questbyte Labs ("the game", "we"). The short version: we do not sell your information, and we do not ask for your real name, email, contacts, photos or precise location. The game has no in-app purchases and no sign-up, and your progress stays on your phone. Online play uses Unity Gaming Services to connect players, and the game is free because it shows ads from Google AdMob.

Information stored on your device

To remember your progress and preferences, the game keeps the following on your device only:

• Profile: the nickname, avatar and country flag you choose, plus your XP, level and trophies.
• Coins and items: your in-game coin balance and the cues, tables and ball sets you have unlocked and equipped. Coins are earned by playing. They can't be bought with real money or cashed out.
• Statistics: games played and won, 8-ball and 9-ball wins, balls potted, run-outs, fouls, cups won and win streaks.
• Progress: trick shot stars, your current tournament, when you last claimed the daily bonus or used the lucky spin, and your mission and achievement progress.
• Settings: sound, music, vibration, aim lines, power bar side, aim speed, graphics, camera and frame rate.
• An unfinished game against the computer, so you can continue it later.

This information is never sent to us. You can erase your statistics from Settings → Reset statistics, and uninstalling the game deletes all of it.

Online play

Playing against the computer, Pass & Play, tournaments, trick shots and practice work offline and send nothing. Online play is used only when you choose a city table (Play Online) or Play Friends (quick match or a private room):

• Anonymous player ID. The game signs in anonymously with Unity Gaming Services (Authentication, Lobby and Relay). This creates a random player ID that is not linked to your name, email or Google account.
• What other players see. Your nickname, avatar, level, country flag, trophies and equipped cue are sent to the other player in your match. Your nickname is also stored in Unity's Lobby service for the life of the room. Rooms are removed when the game starts, ends or is left empty.
• Game data. Your aim and shots are relayed to your opponent through Unity Relay servers, which, like any internet service, process your IP address to deliver the connection.
• City tables. When you join a city table, the game first looks for another player waiting at the same table. If nobody is found within a few seconds, you play a computer-controlled opponent on your device and nothing more is sent.
• Chat. In-game chat is limited to preset quick messages and emotes. There is no free-text chat, voice or image sharing.

Unity processes this information as our service provider under the Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.

Same Wi-Fi play connects devices directly over your local network. Your profile details above and the device's local network address are shared only with the device in that game.

Advertising

The game shows ads from Google AdMob, such as an occasional full-screen ad between games (never during a shot) and optional videos you can choose to watch for a reward. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google may collect and process information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address and the approximate location derived from it, device and app details, and how you interact with ads. Google may use this information to show ads based on your interests (personalised ads). Google handles this information under its own policies: see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google privacy policy. We never receive this information.

Your choices

• Play without online services: vs Computer, Pass & Play, tournaments, trick shots and practice never use Unity's online services.
• Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland): in these regions the game asks for your consent through Google's consent message before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice later from Settings → Privacy choices.
• Advertising ID: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your Android settings under Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Google → Ads on some devices).
• Deletion: uninstalling the game deletes everything stored on your device and the anonymous sign-in token. If you would like us to ask Unity to delete the anonymous player record created by online play, email us.

Ratings

After some wins the game may ask whether you would like to rate it. If you agree, it opens the game's page on Google Play. Any review you post is handled by Google Play under the Google privacy policy.

Permissions

The game uses the internet for online play and for ads, network state to tell whether you are online, and vibration for short haptic feedback (which you can turn off in Settings). Ads include the advertising ID permission. The game does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, photos or files.

Children

Pool Elite 3D is intended for players aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used online play, contact us and we will help remove any related data.

Data security and retention

Online traffic to Unity's services is encrypted (DTLS for Relay, HTTPS for sign-in and Lobby). Device data stays on your device until you reset it or uninstall the game. Lobby data lasts only as long as the room; Unity and Google keep their data according to their own retention policies.

Changes

If the game's behaviour ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, this page will be updated and the effective date above revised.
