Privacy Policy

This policy covers the wallpaper apps published by Questbyte Labs ("the app"): 4K HD Wallpaper and Black Wallpapers – AMOLED 4K. The short version: we collect no personal information ourselves. The app is free and shows ads through Google AdMob, which uses your device's advertising ID as described below.
Information we collect
None directly. The app has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics and no crash-reporting SDKs. We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts or usage data. The only data that leaves the device is what the advertising SDK needs to show ads (next section).
Advertising
The app shows full-screen ads (between wallpapers and when returning to the app) served by Google AdMob. To do this, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect your device's advertising ID, approximate location derived from your IP address, and technical details about your device. Google uses this to serve and measure ads; how Google handles it is described in Google's advertising policy and privacy policy.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before any ad is requested, and you can change your choice at any time under Settings → Privacy options. Everyone can reset or delete their advertising ID from Android's Settings → Privacy → Ads. We never receive or store the advertising ID ourselves.
Data stored on your device
The app keeps a small amount of data on your device only, so it works smoothly:
- Wallpaper catalogue cache — titles, categories and image links, so the grid loads instantly and works offline.
- Favorites and recently viewed — which wallpapers you have hearted or opened.
- Settings — grid size, title overlay, and whether new-wallpaper alerts are on.
- Image cache — downloaded thumbnails and previews.
None of this leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it; you can also clear the image cache, favorites and recents from the app's Settings screen.
Network requests
To show wallpapers, the app downloads the catalogue from Supabase and the images from Cloudflare. These requests carry no personal information — only the standard technical details any internet connection involves, such as your IP address, which the hosting provider may log briefly for security and operation. We do not use this to identify or track you.
Permissions
- Internet — to download wallpapers.
- Set wallpaper — to apply an image to your home or lock screen when you ask.
- Notifications (optional, Android 13+) — to tell you when new wallpapers are added. You can decline or turn this off in Settings at any time.
Downloads are saved to your Pictures/Wallpapers folder through Android's media store, so the app never needs access to your other photos or files.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. Ads are served with the "not for children" settings.
Changes
If the app's behaviour ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, this page will be updated and the effective date above revised.
